What you’re buying
Filtered.
Not blocked.
A foam plug is a wall. Muffles the lot, you can’t hear a word, so out it comes. And it stays out. A filter does the opposite — takes the edge off the harsh stuff and lets the talking through.
Foamies
- × Muffle the lot. Voices, machines, everything.
- × Out to talk, then left out all shift
- × Single use. Grubby. Binned by lunch.
- × Feels like your head’s underwater
Earvengers™
- ✓ Takes the edge off, keeps the talking clear
- ✓ Comfy enough to leave in all day
- ✓ Wash ’em, reuse ’em. Plug tips and filters swap out.
- ✓ Sounds natural. Just turned down.
The details
Three parts.
That’s the lot.
No battery. Nothing to charge. A plug tip, a filter, and somewhere to keep ’em.
The plug tip
Soft clear silicone. Sits low in the ear, so a hard hat’s fine and it goes under muffs. This is the bit that eventually gives out.
- Material
- Silicone
- Sizes
- Standard and Large, both included
- Reusable
- Washable, replaceable
The filter
A colour-coded disc that drops into the plug tip. Only thing that changes between the levels. Swap it later instead of buying another pair.
- Levels
- LITE MID MAX
- Swappable
- Yes, in seconds
- Lifespan
- Lasts as long as you look after it
The aluminium carry capsule
Aluminium, on a keyring. Clips to ya keys, ya belt, ya lanyard. So they’re not in the ute and not on the bench — the pair you can find is the pair you’ll wear.
- Material
- Anodised aluminium
- Holds
- One pair + spares
- Attaches
- Keys, belt or lanyard
A pair of plugs with your filter fitted (Standard plug tips on), a spare pair of Large plug tips, and an aluminium carry capsule on a keyring, all in a 3D-printed case.
Takes about four seconds
The tab does
the work.
There’s a small tab on the side of each plug. Get that right and the rest sorts itself out.
-
01
Tab up
Hold it between your thumb and finger with the tab pointing up.
-
02
Twist as you push
Slight twist going in. You’ll feel it seat and hear the noise drop.
-
03
Leave it showing
Tab stays sticking up. Sits low enough for a hard hat, still easy to find.
-
04
Pull the tab
To take them out, grab the tab. No digging around for the plug.
The practical stuff
Looking after them.
The short version
Wash ’em, dry ’em, back in the capsule. Swap a plug tip when it gives out. That’s about it — there’s nothing to charge and nothing to service.
Cleaning
Warm soapy water, rinse clear, air-dry fully before they go away. No solvents. No dishwasher.
Fit
Tab up, twist as it goes in, leave the tab showing. Feels loose? Swap the plug tip size.
Shipping
$9.99 flat, anywhere in Australia. Free over $60.
With your other gear
They sit low, so a hard hat’s fine and they go under muffs for the brutal jobs. No pressure points.
Two sizes
Both come in the box. Standard’s fitted as it arrives and suits most; swap to the Large pair if it sits loose.
Returns
Hygiene product, so returns are limited to unopened sets. Anything faulty, we’ll sort ya out.
